To the north of the Tunuyán River lies a privileged Argentine viticulture area. The stony soils, the wide thermal amplitude between day and night, and the meltwater of the rivers in the area give life to grapes with a unique identity.
Our vineyards grow in the Casamira estate in Los Indios at 1,100 meters above sea level, the highest area in the Altamira region. Within the estate, the soils are very heterogeneous.
Alluvial sectors, formed by the input and sediments of the river and sandy loam, coexist with rocky outcrops in the northern center of the estate.
The fertility and unique quality of the soil are around the rocks, where the grapes that bring flavor and texture to our wines grow.
The desertic and continental climate of the area also influences the vines. In this area of the Uco Valley, the climatic phenomena are more dramatic and extreme: cold winters, hot summers, and low rainfall concentrated in certain periods of the year.
